A homeport and preferred destination for owners and their superyachts, home to many design studios and major brokers, the Principality of Monaco has always been an essential stop in the ever-evolving yachting sector.
Bringing together the largest private yachts in the world under its flag, the Yacht Club holds a unique position in the world of international luxury yachting.
In continuation of the actions carried out by ‘La Belle Classe Tradition,’ H.S.H. Prince Albert II wished to expand the scope of ‘La Belle Classe’ to include Large Yachting by launching ‘La Belle Classe Superyachts’ in June 2008, a label aimed at uniting all players in the yachting industry.
Its objective: architectural innovation (as technological research is an ongoing endeavor to evolve yachting), the preservation of the sea and the environment (responsible and environmental attitude, use of innovative or existing techniques…), and the respect for naval etiquette (crew and owner attire, rules of courtesy and solidarity among ‘La Belle Classe’ members).
With ‘La Belle Classe Superyachts,’ the Yacht Club de Monaco intends to welcome, support, raise awareness, and potentially train superyacht owners (over 40 meters) in maritime culture and encourage professionals to adopt an environmentally respectful philosophy.

Respect for codes and customs, a true heritage of the yachting family, consideration of behavior, attire of the crew and owner, assistance and mutual support, respect for other yachts under all circumstances, rules of courtesy and solidarity among the members of La Belle Classe.
Adopt a responsible and environmental attitude, both for the maintenance of the yacht (eco-friendly products) and for the use of new or existing techniques: eco-friendly fuel, hybrid engines, CO2 emission reduction, use of Pods to protect the seabed…
Designing, adapting, using, and promoting technological innovations, elegance and harmony in design, the ability to evolve yachting while preserving the environment… Technological research is an ongoing pursuit of progress.
Honoring shipowners, awareness conferences, organizing symposiums in the form of dinner/debates bringing together all the stakeholders in the yachting chain (architects, shipyards, port directors, maritime experts, captains, brokers…), are just some of the actions carried out by ‘La Belle Classe Superyachts’ throughout the year, marking a major first in the sector.
Every year, the Yacht Club de Monaco is the privileged meeting point for yachting professionals at the “La Belle Classe Superyachts” Economic Symposium, organized in the form of a dinner-debate.
New members join the Yacht Club de Monaco family at an induction ceremony.
As part of Monaco Ocean Week, the Yacht Club de Monaco is traditionally in charge of the day dedicated to yachting, during which the Environmental Symposium “La Belle Classe Superyacht” is organized.
The christening of a ship is a solemn act that traditionally takes place before the vessel is launched.
