During these two days of adult sailing training in the Fusion 2 at YCM, you will explore both the basics and advanced sailing techniques. On the first day, the focus is on initiation, where you’ll learn how to handle the boat, rig it, and navigate effectively. You’ll experience the initial challenges of balance on the water, maneuvers on a close reach and a broad reach, as well as tacking. In the afternoon, the emphasis will be on refining your handling skills, including jibes and using the spinnaker, with a debrief to reinforce your learning. The second day focuses on perfecting the skills you’ve acquired, with intensive practice on boat handling and advanced maneuvers. You’ll work on optimizing your course and improving crew coordination, before putting your skills to the test in an exciting race in the afternoon. At the end of the day, a final debrief will allow you to assess your progress and reflect on your overall experience during the stage.
