Every year, Monaco Ocean Week brings together experts, scientists and marine enthusiasts to discuss the crucial environmental issues facing our oceans. Under the impetus of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, this multidisciplinary event is positioned as a platform for reflection and action on marine preservation.
Various symposia, conferences and workshops address a wide range of themes, including marine exploration, new sustainable technologies and the impact of climate change on marine ecosystems. The Yacht Club de Monaco, a key player in this week, is traditionally in charge of the day dedicated to yachting. This initiative is part of the collective “Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting” initiative.
Each year, an intense program of meetings is offered, including numerous events such as the YCM Explorer Awards by “La Belle Classe”.
In 2025, Monaco Ocean Week will exceptionally take place in June, and will be marked by a major event: the “Blue Economy and Finance Forum” (BEFF), organized as part of the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC), to be held in Nice from June 9 to 13, 2025. This event, which will benefit from the “Un Ocean Conference Special Event” label, will be held on June 7 and 8, 2025 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
The Environmental Symposium, organized by the Yacht Club de Monaco during Monaco Ocean Week, is a think-tank dedicated to the challenges of marine exploration and innovative solutions for ocean protection. Experts, scientists and marine enthusiasts come together to discuss the environmental challenges and new technologies shaping the future of sustainable yachting.
The YCM Explorer Awards by “La Belle Classe” celebrate commitment and excellence in marine exploration and sustainable yachting. Presented during Monaco Ocean Week, these prestigious awards, bestowed by H.S.H. Prince Albert II, President of the Yacht Club of Monaco, honor individuals and initiatives that stand out for their efforts to preserve the oceans and promote environmentally-friendly yachting.
The Monaco Smart Yacht Rendezvous brings together the entire yachting ecosystem, including shipyards, designers and innovation players, to explore and promote the smart, sustainable technologies that are transforming yachting. The event, organized by Monaco Marina Management (M3), aims to foster the energy transition and encourage responsible solutions within the yachting industry.
