As the direct representative of the owner and responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the yacht, the captain is a key player in the development of the yachting industry. The Captains’ Club is a federation of 150 professionals holding a 500 captain’s certificate, working on superyachts and sailing under the Y.C.M. flag.
The Captain’s Forum aims to foster dialogue and cooperation between the main players in the yachting industry. By addressing topical issues such as regulatory developments, technological innovations, sustainable management of marine resources and operational challenges encountered at sea, the forum aims to anticipate industry trends and propose concrete solutions to the problems encountered by professionals.
To take part in the Captain’s Forum is to position yourself at the heart of the debates that are shaping the future of the marine industry. It’s also a valuable opportunity to meet industry leaders, share experiences and draw inspiration from best practices. Whether you’re a captain, a shipowner or a player in the yachting industry, this forum is a must to stay informed and connected in a constantly evolving sector.
On the occasion of the International Maritime Organization’s World Day of the Sea, and the day after the shipowners’ luncheon, the Yacht Club de Monaco organized a new edition of the Captains’ Forum, bringing together some one hundred captains of superyachts with a combined linear length of 4200 m, as well as industry specialists. The event, which is part of the “Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting” collective initiative, was the fruit of fascinating exchanges around the image of yachting. Ahead of the 29th Captains’ Forum, a survey of 130 superyacht captains revealed major trends for the future of the sector.
